Stefan De Lay’s photographs are artistic
objects, originally printed on Baryte paper
for art galleries, whose result is the fruit
of technical and creative work such as
planning, setting and lightning, developing
film and printing. It is the whole process
resting on nonhazardous techniques.
Real photography requires knowledge of
lightning and contrasts, its measurement,
framing and composition of the image,
exposure and development of films, and
then control of treatment in laboratory.
